A 7-minute viral video of a 27-year-old woman was uploaded online and it showed her arguing with police authorities who apprehended her for disobeying the hard lockdown rule imposed in Brgy. 156, Bagong Barrio, Calaoocan yesterday, May 14.
Mikaela Manzon was not wearing her face mask as she attempted to breach the quarantine protocol in the area.
The uniformed personnel tried to stop and blocked her way but she kept on insisting to pass through and told them she’s just going to bring something to an unidentified person in the same area.
Manzon will be charged according to Revised Penal Code’s Article 151 for resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, Article 155 for alarm and scandal, and Article 287 for unjust vexation.
Brgy. 156 was placed in a six-day hard lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the community, by order of Mayor Oca Malapitan.
Manzon was brought to the New Caloocan City Hall for the issuance of the ordinance violation receipt (OVR) for violating enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) protocols such as being an unauthorized person outside residence (UPOR) and failure to wear a face mask.
She was later turned over to the Caloocan City Police Station in Sangandaan for her mugshot and the filing of appropriate violation charges.
