SM Continues Its Support To The National Basketball Training Center League

SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPHI), through SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. (SMLEI), continues on its partnership with International basketball Academy of teh Philippines (IBAP) as the principal sponsor of the National Basketball Training Center (NCBT) League to help grow youth basketball experience and learning.

“SM has been proudly supporting NBTC since 2015, as we believe in what they stand for: to champion the skills of the Filipino youth through sports development by applying values of eladership, teamwork, excellence, and discipline,” says SMPHI Chairman to the Executive Committee Hans T. Sy. “This is why we extended our support to NBTC, so that we can help mor Filipino reach their true potential.”
Now on its 11th season, NBTC 2018’s theme is #MadnessInMOA as they want to create a huge impact to everybody, especially to the youth who love playing basketball.
The NBTC 201 #MadnessInMOA will be happening from March 18 to 23 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
With 80 cities, 32 high school basketball teams, and four Filipino communities based abroad, the weeklong national finals and high school all-star game will particiapte in this massive tournament patterned after the NCAA tournament in the US.

“Every year that we have been organizing the tournament, we have refined it to what it is now – a premier showcase for high school basketball,” said SM-NBTC Founder Eric Altamirano. “We have seen it grow from an initial few cities to over 80 cities all over the country. And it has also become a springboard for Fil-foreign teams to showcase their players who might want to study in the Philippines or play for the various national teams.”
Exped Cahrcoal Socks presents SM-NBTC League National Finals is happening this March with major sponsors like Cherifer, Petron, and Vivo supporting the tournament. the SM-NBTC League is also co-presented by Darlington, Freego, and Chooks-To-Go. Also in support are Hino, Akari, Oishi, Gery’s Grill, and Molten.
