SM City Marilao Illuminates With Bulacan's Biggest Dance Competition

Street dancing genre in Bulacan has evolved by leaps, bounds, and lighting technology.
 
The province’s biggest dance competition, Illumination, came to a close as over a thousand dance fans turned out to watch twelve of Bulacan’s renowned street dancers at SM City Marilao.

Competing teams from all over Bulacan took advantage of the technology as they show off their skills and styles as well as captivating performance on the dancefloor.
 
Crowd were not disappointed as each performance mesmerized them with compelling dance moves; synchronized with rhythmical music and electrifying special effects like motion sensor lasers, lights as well as LED projection.
 
Most of the performances were integrated with plenty of pop culture elements, including hip-hop dance, comedy, mime, breakdance, gravity-defying moves, popping and locking. Dancers performed their electrifying routine with lighting technology that created a grand, intriguing and exhilarating dance show that had the audience standing up and cheering on.
 
“Illumination showcased the unmatched talent of Bulakeños” shares SM City Marilao Assistant Mall Manager Drev Fiesta. “The event provided our youth as well as our local talents the opportunity and the right platform to be discovered and to compete at a large audience alongside well-known artists” Mr. Fiesta added.
 
Out of 12, NIC Soldierz from Marilao emerged as the grand champion, while What the Funk from Sta. Maria took the 2nd place and Fashionista Dance Republic to 3rd place, respectively.
 
A grand total of Php.180, 000 worth of SM gift certificates were given away to Illumination winners and runners up at SM Malls in Pulilan, Valenzuela, Sangandaan and Marilao.
 
Capping off the event was Manila based DJ Ron Poe, who wrapped up the show with exclusive house music mixes.
