115 frontliners in Meycauyan City, Bulacan have continued to undergo a nasopharyngeal swab test since May 26. Abelardo Bordador, chair of the City Health Office and managing director of COVID-19 Targeted Testing said that the city health “will also be doing this for other suspected / probable patients on our masterlist.”
In Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing, the genetic material of COVID-19 is determined so its results are guaranteed even before the patient appears to be symptomatic. The test results will be revealed after 3-5 working days.
Mayor Linabelle Villarica ordered the rehabilitation of some facilities including the testing booths just outside the closed Meycauayan General Hospital after the DOH allowed its limited use as an isolation facility during the pandemic.
The facility is available for those who are confirmed at COVID-19 Targeted Testing who do not have their own rooms in their quarantine.
