DIY Meal Box by U Cookin Makes Homecooking Easier

Do these apply to you?
✅ Prefers homecooked meals
✅ Wants gourmet-style cooking
✅ Too busy to go to the grocery store

If you’re familiar with subscription boxes that are now available in Manila and you like the idea of ordering goods in a box online, you’d definitely love U Cookin!
U Cookin is the first of its kind in the Philippines. This DIY meal kit service is perfect for all kinds of cooking enthusiasts: those who love good food and are just learning how to cook (like me 🙋🏻‍♀️), people on-the-go who can cook and want shorter preparation and cooking time, and professional cooks/chefs.
Check my IG story here to see a sample box:

Price range per box is between 400 and 650 PHP, good for 2-6 people. Just register online, pick a recipe and place your order (check their social media accounts – details at the end of this post – for the link).
As I write this blog post, U Cookin has five (5) recipes to choose from:
👩🏻‍🍳 Honey Chicken
👩🏻‍🍳 Chicken Yakitori
👩🏻‍🍳 Balsamic Sirloin Steak
👩🏻‍🍳 French Peppercorn Tenderloin
👩🏻‍🍳 Country Pork Chops
In the near future, we can expect additional recipes that are pescetarian, vegetarian and vegan-friendly.
For my cooking challenge, I chose Chicken Yakitori. To know how I did it, view my posts below:

I was able to use up all ingredients in the Chicken Yakitori meal kit except the Sriracha sauce. I‘m the only one in my family who likes spicy dishes, so I added just a little amount. I’m proud of myself for making my first delicious full meal! This challenge made my “kitchen goddess 101” experience more fun and exciting, and I’m willing to wait for the next batch of recipes (since I’m actually more of a fish, seafood and veggies type of person).
