For every city and barangays, LGUs are empowered to give back and repay its constituents of the benefits and support they can have especially during times of calamities and disasters. The wide spread of the novel coronavirus in the country is considered a top priority for disaster risk management and must be taken seriously. This prompted President Duterte to place the entire of Luzon on Enhanced Communtiy Quarantine, or for the lack of better words, enforced lockdown of sorts.
I am not opposing this imposed quarantine type because this is what we need right now. We have to keep limited movements as much as possible to help flatten the curve and prevent the rapid spread of COVID-19. Social distancing is strongly advised.
But of course, this implemented regulation would keep us away from doing our regular activites like going out to buy our immediate and personal needs in stores like food, medicines, and other supplies during this difficult days. And this affect everyone. Poor or rich. Young and old. Whoever you are, whatever your gender and status, we are all in this tough times together.
So, let’s have a look ano ba ang ginagawa ng mga LGUs natin at ano-ano ang mga pinamimigay nilang ayuda and food packs para sa mga nasasakupan nila.
Let’s start with
Las Piñas City
San Juan City
These are just of the activities that I have come across sa aking Facebook timeline.
There is an ongoing rumor that an emergency power is being considered by the President but this has been denied by Malacañang. We’ll be watching this.
If you have anything to add or if your LGUs doing something, kindly comment on this article. Idadagdag natin yan.
By the way, this article is not in anyway political. Alam ko merong sablay sa ibang LGUs natin. That’s another topic.
Meanwhile, ang tignan natin dito ay iyung ginagawa nila para sa taong-bayan.
