Why Filipinos Love Mang Inasal?

It all started with a vision in 2003 when a young businessman at the age of 26 grabbed the opportunity to lease a 250 square meter space at the Robinsons Mall Carpark in Iloilo.
The man who later become one of the tycoons in fast-food restaurant and real estate businesses put up Mang Inasal and is now the fastest growing brand that serves traditional Filipino cuisine with the dine-in concept.
Mang Inasal is famous for its native-style and ‘nuot-sarap’ chicken inasal. With its pioneering ‘unlimited rice’, Mang Inasal quickly won the hearts of its customers withbits distincively Pinoy stamp-grilling and special marinade made out of local secret spices.
The man behind the success of Mang Inasal is Edgar “Injap” Sia II, founder and now Double Dragon Properties Chairman and CEO.
Last June 19,  7 days later after the celebration of 120th Philippine Independence Day, Mang Inasal celebrated another milestone as it formally opened its 500th store in the city where it all began.
Mang Inasal kicked off the grand festivities with the unveiling of a commemorative 500th store marker  made up of banana leaves encased in resin and arranged in Pintados pattern. The inscription takes pride of Mang Inasal’s growth in the past 15 years.
Jollibee Food Corporation (JFC) Chairman and Founder Tony Tan Caktiong, JFC Chief Executive Offucer Ernesto Tanmantiong, and JFC Country Business Group Head for the Philippines Joseph Tanbuntiong, led the unveiling of the ceremonial marker, the ribbon-cutting, and the ceremonial first bite of the iconic Chicken Inasal. They were accompanied by Guests of Honor Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III, Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, and Mr. Sia.
Mr. Sia was honored with a banana leaf token to pay tribite to his visionary leadership.
