House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano announced this afternoon in Congress that he will allow ABS-CBN to turn on the power of their transmitter and House of Committee as whole approves and gives provisional franchise to the network that will last until October 31, 2020.
Congress will also continue the hearing on the network’s franchise renewal while the provisional franchise is in order.
Cayetano asked the media not to weaponized the ABS-CBN franchise issue and likewise said that celebritiea should not ignore the network’s issues.
Cayetano later appeared on Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja’s radio/TV show and assured that not later the first week of June, ABS-CBN can operate and start with their regular programming.
Cayetano is confident that President Duterte will veto the bill of provisional franchise which will be pass on Congress this coming Monday.
